Two Stylish Kays Wins Best Fashion Thrifter B.FAB Awards

On Sunday, March 24, I  attended Atlanta Taste Maker Magazine's B.FAB Awards Brunch, were I was honored as one of the nominees for the "Best Fashion Thrifter" Award. The event was held at Ambient Studios. It was the first time a formal ceremony was held to celebrate bloggers in fashion and beauty. So for this special occasion, I wore a vintage full length gown that I scored from Goodwill North Georgia. 

My family and closest friends joined me for support, even my dad and my mom's childhood friend, flew in from New York to join me for the celebration. I love having them around to see an experience what blogging is all about. Now they understand and can appreciate what I do.

My favorite makeup artist, Kristina Ross was on site to provide me a with a glam makeup application that complemented my look impeccably! She rocks!!

So after weeks of anticipation, I was so excited for the big announcement and the presentation of the award by Tiffini Gatlin, Founder and Editorial Director of Tastemaker Magazine. And I have to tell you that it was such a proud and humbling moment being named the "Best Fashion Thrifter".

I certainly appreciate all your votes and support from all my readers. It really means so much to me. My goal has always been to be an inspiration to show women that they can look stylish in thrifted fashion. So this award emphasizes and celebrates the accomplishment of my goal.
