Thrift Sisters Link Up: Clock Blocking

Wednesday, October 29, 2014

This week, Ayana and I styled our looks this week with blocks of color.  Be sure to stop by her Ayana's blog to get the details on her amazing black and white sweater and those super cute cap toe pumps. I styled my Anne Klein zebra print dress with a Steve Madden color block handbag.

Handbag $5: Steve Madden (Goodwill Grasslands)
Shoes $5: BCBG (Goodwill Johns Creek)
Total $11

Color blocking has been a trend for several seasons now. So if you have not tried it yet, you still have time, because color blocking is here to stay. One of the easiest ways to try out a new trend is through accessories.  I wore my zebra print dress as a neutral piece and used my handbag to add a subtle touch of color block.  Accessories are an effortless and inexpensive way to update your look and try out a trend.

How do you incorporate a new trend into your wardrobe?

Now, let’s jump into our Thrift Sisters link up!  Ayana and I launched our Thrift Sisters link up, to encourage our readers to post their thrifted or thrifty priced items during our thrift party link-up.  Thank you to all of you that took time to join us. This week’s featured Thrift Sister is Lydia from Chic on the Cheap!   We love how she styled her thrifted graphic tee for a rock concert.  Check out her blog for some awesome stylish inspiration that won’t break the bank!
