Nothing screams "I Am Woman" more than a floral print dress. When I am thrift shopping, I am always drawn to floral prints. They are so classic and timeless, it can be worn every season. Plus it can be styled soft and romantic or bold and edgy too. Black and White is a big trend this season. So I was super excited to find this Prabal Gurung for Target dress. It was right on time and so on trend.

I love wearing dresses, especially in the summer. The Pretty Girls Wear Dresses challenge truly motivated and encouraged me to wear dresses every week. Blogger Dea Winfrey, started the challenge in 2011 and challenged women to commit to wearing dresses at least three times per week. I now wear dresses at least five times a week. They are so easy to wear and I always feel like such a lady. Well this vintage floral midi dress is my new favorite! I fell in love with the floral print and the unexpected open back. And of course it had pockets too! The straps can be unbuttoned and worn as a cross back, but the way I styled it much sexier. I wore my animal print shoes to add a little mixed prints and give it a modern twist.
Today I am teaming up with Credit Card Insider's Splurge vs Save Campaign and my Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM is the perfect example of how I saved on a splurge purchase. Many of you know how much I wanted to add this bag to my wardrobe. It is timeless high quality statement bag that can be worn year round. After doing the cost per wear ratio, (Total cost of the item ÷estimated number of days you’ll wear it = the cost per wear)I will be getting the biggest bang for my buck.
I added it to my thrift list because at the beginning of year. I knew that I would be able to score the same bag from a consignment store. After months of patience and stalking the social media accounts of my fave resale stores, I was able to finally bring home this designer beauty at 60% off the retail price.
What item did you decide to save on instead of splurge on?
Blazers are an easy way to make your outfit look sophisticated. Whether paired with jeans, shorts or a loosely fitted dress, this wardrobe staple will always complement and give you a more polished look. Be sure to select one that fits well, like my tuxedo style blazer. It accentuates my figure and it tapers my outfit at the bottom too. My blazer also becomes the focal piece instead of the bright, busy print of my dress. When selecting accessories, I choose to add a belt to cinch my waist and make my dress a bit more streamlined.
Floral prints are always on trend for the spring/summer season, especially floral print jeans. So I had been searching for floral pants for a while now, so imagine my excitement when I found this beauty. I fell in love with the vibrant print and the fit was perfect too. Instead of styling it with a basic t-shirt, I opted to pair it with this vintage yellow top. The blouse buttons down the back and has a beautiful basket weave detail on top. The nude pumps adds a bit of sexy to look too!
Will you wear the floral jeans trend? How do you style your floral print jeans?
