Shoes $19: Manolo Blahnik (Goodwill Shallowford Road Store)

Thrifting is truly a treasure hunt. Some days you come up shot and some days you hit the jackpot. I certainly did when I scored this pair of Manolo Blahnik strappy pumps for only $19. They are now at the cobbler getting spruced up and I can't wait to rock them!

Thrifted Trends: Thai Silk Printed Shirt Dress

Friday, September 26, 2014

Shoes $0.80:  (Diva Diva Boutique)
Dress $10: Thai Silk (Diva Diva Boutique)
Handbag $12: No Label (Chic PreLoved Boutique)
Bracelet $13: No Label (Then Again Consignments)
Total spent: $35.80
Linking Up With: More Pieces of Me and Rhea et Cetera

These are few of the pieces I scored during the September 20th Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tour! It is hard to shop while hosting the bus tour, but every now and then I do manage to snag a few items. The bracelet was my first purchase from Then Again Consignments, it is such a neutral piece that I will be able to wear with many outfits. The bamboo-like handbag with gold-tone handles from Chic PreLoved Boutique, was so unique and funky, I knew it was a statement piece made just for my mom (and me). I gifted it to her knowing I would have access to it too. LOL

Then I spotted this dress on the rack at Diva Diva Boutique, I knew that I had to have it. Yes I am a lover of dresses, but one with a gorgeous print and made of a thai silk, makes me even weaker. Now the shoes were under $1. My thrift sister, Rhonda, saw them and knew that were my size and style. Yes, the joys of shopping with a friend! What a steal for this vintage beauty right? Do you prefer thrifting alone or with a friend?

Thrift Sisters Link Up: Polka Dots

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

This week the Thrifting Diva and I are rocking polka dots. Be sure to stop by Ayana'a blog to get the details on her thrifted bodycon skirt and polka dot blouse! Her look is what I call grown and sexy. I am wearing a black and white polka dress that I scored during the September 20th Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tour.

Dress $1.75: Betsey Johnson (Park Ave Thrift Outlet Woodstock)
Sweater $1.75: Trina Turk (Park Ave Thrift Outlet Woodstock)
Handbag $9: Vintage (Chic PreLoved Boutique)
Shoes $25: Christian Louboutin (Designer Consigns)
TOTAL: $42.50

I fell in love with this dress at first sight. The enormous white dots, the boat neck style and of course the pockets. It was perfection. Fall weather is sneaking in here in Georgia so I paired it with my black cardigan sweater. Aren't those sleeves magical?  I am a sucker for peep toes so I am going to wear them as long as can, till it time for Fall shoes. These shoes are one of treasured finds. I scored them as a final sale because they were well loved and I had to replace the soles. Now they are like new again.

Thrift Sisters Link Up: Dress Pants

Wednesday, September 17, 2014

This week the Thrifting Diva and I are rocking dress pants. Be sure to stop by Ayana'a blog to get the details about her mixed prints look with her fun cigarette pants. I am so jealous she is enjoying warm, sunny California, while I embrace Fall here in Atlanta.

Blouse $14: Diane Von Furstenberg (BrandHunters)
Handbag $9Dooney & Burke, read about it HERE (B & R Thrift Store-now closed)
Dress Pants $5: Zara (Goodwill Johns Creek)
Shoes $19: Zara (Alexis Suitcase Consignment )
TOTAL: $47

This is one of three dress pants that I own. I usually wear dresses or skirts, because I usually have a hard time thrifting dress pants that are the perfect length. So when I came across these Zara wide leg dress pants, I knew had to have them. The are very comfy, stylish and easy to style. They will be a staple in my Fall wardrobe.

I scored this Diane von Furstenberg silk wrap blouse from BrandHunters while visiting Brooklyn last weekend. This blouse retails for $245 and I got it for the resale price of $14.I also knew it would be a great complement for my wide leg dress pants, so I had to have it. The ruched high collar, tie waist and sexy plunging neckline, add a welcome feminine touch.

How do you style your wide leg dress pants?

Thrift Sisters Link Up: Safari Trench Jacket

Wednesday, September 10, 2014

This week the Thrifting Diva and I are rocking our thrifted CABI safari trench jacket. While I watching Ayana's thrift haul video on Youtube, I immediately noticed that she scored a CAbi trench jacket like the one I had. We joked that we must truly be sisters from another mother and that our closets probably have more of the same clothing too! Be sure to stop by Ayana's blog to see how she styled her jacket with this super cute black and white striped dress.

Crossbody bag worn as a Clutch $3Mossimo (Value Village Roswell)
Floral Jeans $4: Hot Kiss (Value Village Roswell)
Blouse $1: Moda International (Ecologie Resale and Vintage)
Shoes $7: ASOS (Out of the Closet)
TOTAL: $19

I give credit to my mom for picking up this jacket for me during a thrift shopping trip. She still shops for baby girl. I'm so blessed to call her my mommy! I layered my pear green trench with a sheer long sleeve blouse, a welcome complement to my floral skinny jeans. The jacket tones down the busy print of the pants and my shoes polished the look.

What I really love about this trench, is that it is so versatile because it can be worn alone as a dress too! Every gal should have a trench jacket in their wardrobe. It is a staple piece that can be worn for many occasions and for several seasons too.

Well, it’s Wednesday, so let’s jump into our Thrift Sisters link up!  Ayana and I launched our Thrift Sisters link up, encouraging you all to post thrifted or thrifty priced items to this link up. We appreciate each of you taking time to link up with us.

Thrift Sisters Link Up: Lace Crochet Dress

Wednesday, September 3, 2014

This week the Thrifting Diva and I are rocking lace. Make sure to stop by Ayana'a blog to get the details about her look too! I scored my lace dress for only $1.50 at the Park Ave Thrift Outlet in Woodstock. Read more about this fabulous find HERE.

Clutch $5: Vintage (Last Chance Thrift Stores Chamblee)
Shorts $1.50: Bongo (Park Ave Thrift Outlet Woodstock)
Belt $2.94: Vintage (Value Village Roswell)
Necklace $10: (Funky Flair Boutique)
Shoes $10: Aldo (House of uBuhle)
TOTAL: $30.94

I could not wait to rock this lace crochet dress. I wore it to a rooftop happy hour meet up with my blogger buddies. Since it was an outdoor rooftop event, I knew my dress would be perfect for the occasion. I usually would style a sheer dress with a slip, but I figured it would be more fun to try something a little more fun. So instead of a slip, I wore a nude bra and high waist denim shorts under my lace dress. It was a great alternative to the traditional slip! And it encouraged a few priceless looks too!
How would you style a lace dress?

This week’s featured Thrift Sister is Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood. She shopped her closet and rocked her favorite jumpsuit. What a gorgeous floral print!  Click HERE to check out her personal style blog.

Now, it's time for the link up! Let the party begin! The link will remain open for 5 days. So go ahead and show us your favorite thrifted lace dress or any thrifty priced fashion under $50. Next week's theme is TBA. Here are our thrift Sisters Link Up Rules:
