Thrift Sisters Link Up: Stripes and Florals

Wednesday, February 18, 2015

This week the Thrifting Diva and I styling Stripes and Florals. It is amazing to see how similar our styles are when we reveal our looks to each other. Be sure to stop by Ayana's blog for details on how she rocked her mixed prints. I styled my button down with a pencil skirt. My look is under $15.

WHAT I WORE
Top $4- J.CREW (Americas Thrift Store Marietta)
Skirt $3- LAUREN Ralph Lauren (Americas Thrift Store Marietta)
Shoes $4- Gianni Bini (Embellish Plus Consignment Boutique)
Total $14

Stripes and Florals are my favorite prints to mix. I consider it the classic mixed prints look because ir always looks so fresh, fashion forward and girly. It is a newbie's introduction to art of mixing prints. Thrifting makes it inexpensive and easy to try out this trend. The key to pulling of mixed prints is to make sure that you have the same color combination in both pieces. My color combination of choice was blue and white. I kept the accessories simple and the neutral shoes where a nice complement.

How do you rock mixed prints? What are your rules?

We especially love her snake print flats and thrifted safari jacket.  Check out her blog for great thrifty style inspirations.
