BDIB: My First Maxi Skirt

Skirt- Thrifted (Goodwill)/ Top- Club Monaco (Value Village)/ Shoes- BCBG (Plato's Closet)/ Accesories- Funky Flair Boutique/ Watch- Michael Kors (Macy's)/ Hair- Baizara Campbell

When I saw that this month's assignment for Bloggers Do It Better Challenge, I was in shock because it made me realize that I as much as I love fashion, I did not own a maxi skirt.  But that shock quickly turned into relief, because I knew that I would make it my duty to find one during our "I Love Thrifting" party here in Atlanta.

Yes...I found this maxi skirt at  my local Goodwill and even through it is velvet, I thought it would a great transition piece for my Fall wardrobe. It would also be great to wear to a holiday party.

I will confess...I am wearing my top backwards. I liked the drama of the plunging neckline, but it looked better on my back instead of exposing my chest. Plus I did not have any double-sided tape. LOL..Check out Bloggers Do It Better to see how other ladies rocked their maxi skirts.

Whould you like to comment?

  1. Yes....I never really got into the"maxi skirt"  trend because I love showing my legs. So the #BDIB was my opportunity to jump on the bandwagon. Now I'm ready to add a few more to my wardrobe.

  31. That skirt was meant for you. Why because I was going to buy it at the Lavisita Goodwill the weekend prior and decided to put it back because it was too short for me. I love love love the color style feel of it. I'm glad to see it made it's way to a good home. :)

  39. I can't believe you found a velvet maxi skirt. I love how bright and attention-getting your whole outfit is, especially with how you decided to wear your top backwards. I always think showing a little back is sexier than having the chest out.
