Jumpsuit- Free Generation (Off-Saks 5th Avenue)/ Shoes- Steve Madden (Marshalls)/ Earrings & Bracelet- borrowed from my mom/ Watch- Michael Kors (Macy's) |
Last weekend I spent the evening in New Orleans with my sorority sister to celebrate the 6th anniversary of her 30th brirthday. Several of her friends traveled from Houston, Mobile, Atlanta and Maryland to celebrate with her. I tell her all the time she has some great friends and that's because she is a true friend too.
I wore my favorite black jumpsuit. It is so chic and sexy, especially the plunging neckline.
I borrowed my mom's earrings again...I think she may end up giving them to me because I have worn them more than her. Since the earrings are so dramatic, I decided against wearing a necklace. For a pop of color, I wore a red lip color and my green suede shoes.

A toast to good times and true friends. |
We had dinner at Palace Cafe and ended the evening listening to a live jazz band at the Ritz Carlton. Many of us had not seen each other since we evacuated New Orleans in 2005 due to hurricane Katrina. So her birthday celebration was a mini-reunion too!

This evening made me realize the importance of celebrating friendship. No matter how busy we are or the miles apart, it is important to take a break to acknowledge and cherish special moments with our friends. It is easy to take your friends for granted. Be sure to cherish the time you have together. How do you celebrate your friendships?
Thanks for the kind words...

ReplyDeleteI don't think there's anything better than getting dressed up in an outfit that makes you feel good and going out with your girlfriends - be it to a movie, or dinner, or out dancing... or even just staying in and chatting! Of course - taking tons and tons of photos helps! Have to preserve memories :)

Danielle
