Last weekend, I finally had the chance to wear my vintage floral dress and pill box hat. I wore it to an event called Tea Party Socials hosted by my thrift sister Rhonda Thompson. Would you believe me if I told you that his vintage floral dress was only $1? I bought it last October from Helping Hands Thrift Store in Buford, GA. Helping Hands Thrift Store is not a big chain thrift store. It is a smaller charity thrift store. The items they get in through donations are sold at rock bottom prices. I saw this beauty on the rack. I knew I had a tea party to attend, so I purchased it.
WHAT I WORE
Dress- Scott Mclintock/ Helping Hands Thrift Store, Norcross, GA
Shoes- Sam Edelman/Goodwill North Lawrenceville, GA
Clutch- Impluse Macys/Goodwill Johns Creek, GA

As described on their website, "Tea Party Socials is NOT your average tea party. Tea Parties with a purpose....More than just tea....Tea Party Socials is a movement about reintroducing the lady by refinement to the current one. Our goal is to not only get dressed up and get pretty but to also visit topics that explore ways of improving our business, self-image, brand recognition, ways to support other women without jealousy, creating and maintaining wealth, healthy living, Issues among women, Issues in romantic relationship, business/dining and social etiquette, dressing for the occasion and for your body type finally with the end in mind; our legacy to name a few."
Tea Party Socials are held at various times through out the year. It is held at the historic Taylor-Brawner House in Smyrna, GA. The next one is on Mother's Day.
