Two Stylish Kays

Two Stylish Kays is my personal style blog celebrating my love for thrifting and my adventures as a personal shopper!

As Atlanta's thrift shopping expert, I share my passion for thrifting by hosting monthly thrift shopping events for the members of my Thrifting Atlanta meetup group.

As a personal shopper, I enjoy helping my clients build wardrobes they will love! This helps them to feel confident about their image and personal style.

Welcome to the two stylish sides of me!

Who is the blogger behind Two Stylish Kays?

My name is Keren Charles. I now reside in Atlanta. I am a personal shopper and thrift shopping expert. Naturally my first true love is fashion, so I love helping women feel confident about their image and personal style.

Who inspires my style?
My late aunt inspired my style. She was the epitome of a fine dressed lady. Whether going to church or to the grocery store, she always looked stylish and very fashionable. My mom inspired my fashion sense. She introduced me to secondhand stores at an early age, so I learned the joy of thrift shopping and how to create fashionable wardrobes on a modest budget. My late grandmother showed me how to let my confidence exude through my style choices. Her classic style, bubbly personality and contaigous smile were a perfect balance to her trend setting fashion choices.

When do I feel most fashionable?

I feel most fashionable when I'm out shopping and complete strangers walk up to me and ask for fashion advice.

Where am I from and its influence on my fashion sensibility?
I was born on the beautiful island of Trinidad, but grew up in New Orleans. In both cultures, women are very comfortable in their own skin and it's not taboo to be exposed or too sexy. Especially when wearing costumes in bold, vibrant colors during Carnival and Mardi Gras. I love wearing clothes that enhance my body and express my mood.

Events: January 2018 Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tours (RECAP)

What I love more than thrift shopping, is to share my passion and be an inspiration so others would try thrift shopping too. Every month I host the Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tours. Over the course of the weekend, I take 30 shoppers on a chauffeured bus to shop up to ten thrift, vintage and consignments stores. They enjoy exclusive discounts at each store and get a bag lunch too. But most importantly are the friendships developed during the day.

Last weekend we visited the following stores: Goodwill Northside, Goodwill North Lawrenceville, Alexis Suitcase Consignment Johns Creek, My Best Friend's Closet Consignment, Reflections of Trinity Thrift Store, Cherokee Rose Shoppe, Southern Thrift Market, Back by Popular Demand Consignment Marietta and Funky Flair Boutique.

Check out a brief photo recap our thrift shopping day.

Thrift Find of the Day: Iman Global Chic Sequin Cardigan

My thrift haul of week is this Iman navy sequin cardigan. I scored it from Goodwill North Georgia in Covington, GA. After a little research, I found out that super model Iman has a high-quality fashion brand sold on HSN called IMAN Global Chic collection. It is inspired by her many travels and this collection represents effortless style for fashionistas who live life in a global chic way.
