Must-Have Fall Fashion Trends To Thrift

Thursday, November 15, 2012

We all can agree that each season we update our wardrobe with some trendy pieces. For those of us on a limited budget or those of us who prefer one-of-a-kind pieces, we incorporate the trends by scoring them at the thrift or consignment store. Consider your fall wardrobe incomplete, if you do not have one of the following fashion trends:

FALL FLORAL
Who does not like a floral print? It is an instant girly print and for fall it is a darker color palette. But it still brings a smile to your face. This is a blouse I found last year at the thrift store. So Fall Floral.... check!

GO BAROQUE
This trend is a bit gaudy, but so regal to me. It is definitely a piece that makes a statement and will start a conversation too. I already scored this full length coat and I'm am itching to wear it to the perfect event. So Baroque Trend....check!

LUXE LEATHER
Why buy leather retail? The thrift stores are overflowing with luxe leather pieces. The only leather piece I have not been able to find are leather shorts. This has been on my list for a year now. But I am determined to find one!!

MILITARY-INSPIRED
This season's military inspired trend is my fave because this season you won't be confused for looking like a member of the military. Since the focus this year is about the olive green and khaki hues, gold buttons and high collars, it is a more stylish, subtle and polish approach to incorporating this trend. I am still on the hunt for the perfect military inspired blaze!

Which Fall fashion trend do you already own? What Fall fashion trends are you still thrifting for?

  1. So LOVE BOTH OF THOSE..... It's very refreshing to see someone else that "gets" it. When you wear statement pieces, you MUST OWN IT! What is a downer is that most vintage pieces I find are in smaller sizes or have the "old sizing" which was QUITE unforgiving. I picked up a pants suit w/a label that read size 13/14... it couldn't have been more than a size 10. What I have found is that I have to take my vintage finds to a seamstress for inspiration. I LOVE MAXI PANTS AND SKIRTS..... Can't ever get enough of those!
