After weeks of stalking Stacey Kay's blog Goodwill Huntingg, I jumped at the chance to participate in the "Who Wore It Best" challenge. Stop by her blog next week and cast your vote!
Stacey is the ultimate thrifting diva. Her niche is looking at a specific runway look and re-creating it entirely using thrifted pieces. I selected this blazer from her post inspired by the Moschino's Spring 2011 Presentation.
The nautical theme reminded me of how much I wish that life could be smooth sailing, instead of feeling like I am drifting aimlessly in the sea. I get so frustrated at times, but mama warned me that there would be days like this. You know that as the captain of our vessel, we have the ability to experience smooth sailing everyday, every month and every year. What you say, think and do manifests into your future.
So today, I am charting my own course, speaking it into existence and claiming smooth sailing to my final destination! Will you join me? When do you know that you are smooth sailing?
I looooove that blazer!! The yellow and red is icing!

I do wish I had more control of how things turn out...but I usually have to remind myself that sometimes when we are challenged is when great things happen...so I guess when things are smooth I assume I am not challenging myself...thanks for inspiring me!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen you in shorts. High five, lol. You better werk this blazer that I love. 2 thumbs up. Why can't I ever find any designer shoes thrifting. I need to move into the other neighborhood (wink). Nope we won't always have days full of sunshine and peaceful seas but I know who commands them so I'm good with it. All I need is for Him to speak and word and my entire situation changes, Amen :)
ReplyDeleteLove, Love, Love that blazer!

O K. That's it. I'm following your blog. You are too stylish for words. Did you add all those brooches to the blazer? If you did, genius. It's the little things that makes the outfit nice!
