In it's 39th year, it is scheduled for Friday, November 7th, 2020 and has been redesigned with limited capacity for a safe and healthy shopping experience! Shoppers can expect a weekend of games, giveaways and extreme shopping at a steal. This year, to ensure safe social distancing, campers and other shoppers are required to reserve a time slot to enter the store.
The biggest winter sale will return to Scottsboro, Alabama’s Unclaimed Baggage, drawing bargain hunters, snow bunnies and winter sport enthusiasts from hours away. The long anticipated Ski Sale, now in its 39th year, will take place on November 7th, 2020 when dedicated Unclaimed fans and hard core treasure hunters camp out for the biggest deals on the biggest brands of the season.
Unclaimed Baggage is the nation’s one-of-a-kind shopping experience that sells lost treasures airlines have been unable to reunite with their owners. And on Nov. 7, the 50,000-square-foot store will be fully stocked with impressively discounted outerwear and gear before winter arrives. Top brands like REI, Marmot, Arc’teryx, Patagonia, The North Face, DYNAFIT, Columbia, Nordica, and Rossignol will be up for grabs at 20 to 80 percent below retail.
While the Ski Sale officially starts Saturday, November 7th, at 8 a.m. CST, the fun begins Friday night, Nov. 6. For campers, there will be parking lot entertainment, including a movie and pizza, which will be served by gloved team members who will enforce social distancing guidelines. The next morning, there will be coffee and donuts, and the first 50 shoppers in line will be allowed in the store 30 minutes before it opens.
To reserve a time to shop, guests must go online to buy a voucher. The cost of the voucher will be applied to shoppers’ purchases. Here are the options:
- 2 hours of shopping for $25
- A half-day of shopping for $40
- A full day of shopping for $75
Customers can choose their exact shopping times when they order. The slots are first-come-first-served, and new inventory will be rolled out throughout the day.
