Black Doll Affair Fashion Show at Macy's Lenox

Dress- French Connection (Goodwill NG Grasslands)/Shoes- Calvin Klein (Dillards)/ Earrings- Funky Flair Boutique/Arm Candy- Michael Kors Watch.

The Black Doll Affair, a philanthropic organization and self esteem movement for black girls
and women, hosted a Spring Fashion Show at Macy's Lenox Mall in Atlanta this past Saturday.

As indicated in the press release, the show's goal is The Black Doll Affair's mission - in a fashionable way - to change the trending negative way black girls and women are perceived and, more importantly, change the way they perceive themselves. The Black Dolls, members of the Black Doll Affair, collected black Barbie dolls to distribute to young black girls during a holiday doll giveaway.

It was a pleasure to be among so many beautiful black women of all ages. Here are few pictures of the event.

The Ballerina's started of the show with a powerful ballet number.
Then they made their way down the runway.
Dana Hill, the founder of the Black Doll Affair and fashion show hosts Rashan Ali (far L) and Nina Brown (far R). Introduced the fashion show.
She owned the runway on the body hugging dress.
I can see myself in this look. I love the red skinny pants!
This carwash hem top with zebra print skinny jeans was an unusual look.
A great beach weekend getaway look for men.
The sheer inserts put a sexy spin on the maxi skirt.
