I interviewed the owner and visited their Sandy Springs location to give you a sneak peek of what to expect at my next Resale Therapy session on Thursday, June 14 at 7pm. I hope you can join me for an evening of sipping, shopping and networking. Plus you will save an additional 10% off your purchase. Click HERE to RSVP.
Below is my interview with Jayna Thompson, owner of Alexis Suitcase. She always wanted to own a clothing boutique because of her love of shopping and fashion. She opened Alexis Suitcase Consignment in Sandy Springs in 2005, followed by her John's Creek location in 2009 and most recently a Buckhead location in 2012.
What makes Alexis Suitcase a unique consignment shopping location?
Alexis Suitcase is unique because we only consign the newest, cutest styles. Plus, unlike other consignment stores, we carry everything from Gap to Gucci! You won't find outdated styles, smelly merchandise, or dark, dingy stores! You'll find a boutique environment with current styles at about 1/3 of retail!
What inspired you to start your boutique?
I've always wanted to own a clothing store, every since I can remember. I guess I was inspired by my love of shopping and fashion!
What do you enjoy most about owning your boutique?
I enjoy most the consigning aspect of it...every day is like Christmas...you never know what will walk in the door!
What is the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge is balancing keeping your customers happy and your consignors happy. It is all about fair pricing and good customer service.
Who is your target customer?
Our target customer is women who want to keep their wardrobe constantly refreshed. Our best customers are those who find they are constantly evolving their look and want to buy and sell at consignment stores to keep their look current at a lower cost!
What's Haute at Alexis Suitcase?
We've just gotten in about 40 Gucci items, including many limited edition handbags!
What is your product price range?
Our average product costs $25. We carry everything from Forever21 items for $7.99 to Chanel handbags for $1999.99 and everything in between.
Why should women today shop consignment vs thrift or vintage stores?
It's the smart way to shop! Why would you want to pay more for something than you have to in this economy?
Your readers should shop at Alexis Suitcase so they can get great fashion at a great price. We also pride ourselves on customer service, so they should expect a fun and welcoming environment when they shop!
So don't forget to join me on Thursday, June 14 7pm at Alexis Suitcase Consignment - Sandy Springs location. We will have door prizes, light refreshments and you can save an additional 10% off your purchase. Click HERE to RSVP.
Like their Facebook and Follow on Twitter. Will you join me for some Resale Therapy?
