Thrift Wish List: Culottes

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Many of my friends do not understand my love for culottes and my dislike for capris. They consider them the same thing, but I try to convince them that they are not. Capris resemble high water pants and depending how it is styled, look very frumpy and dated. Culottes look like a skirt, but are actually wide leg cropped pants. Just that little quirkiness is what makes me adore them so much, plus it's a great conversation starter. For my clients who just love capris, I always suggest they try a pair of culottes. In my opinion, they are a stylish, fashionable alternative to capris. Here are some of my ways to style culottes.

  1. The only reason to buy capri pants is to cut them off for shorts (done that many times).

  2. These are different than petal pushers 50's style pants? Cute when styled retro.

  7. These kind of pants look SO comfy. I've always been too short for this kind of look, but I think it looks so effortless!
