Thrift Haul Score of the Week: Route 66 Crochet Lace Maxi Dress

Sunday, August 24, 2014

My strategy for thrifting is to always look for interesting prints, beautiful fabrics and stand out pieces. So when I saw this crochet lace dress, while thrifting at Park Ave Thrift Outlet, I knew that I had to add to my shopping cart. Plus at  $1.50, it was truly a good price. Especially since I rarely buy Economy brands (i.e. Kmart, Target, Old Navy etc.) from the thrift store. It is one way that I can limit what I get while thrifting and also I can get the same item on their clearance racks for the about the same thrift store price.

Well today, that was an exception to my rule. This crochet lace dress is such a stand out piece and I already had some amazing ideas of how I could style it too. It will make a travel piece for my upcoming beach vacation. It can be packed in my suitcase and it will not take up too much room. I can also wear it as a cover up for my bathing suit and over a slip for a walk to an outdoor cafe too.

Here are a few of my inspirational pics:
