What to Wear on Thanksgiving

Sunday, November 20, 2011

With all the planning for Thanksgiving dinner, we often forget one important detail-- the Thanksgiving outfit. Since spending time with family to meeting your future in-laws for the first time, now means several Kodak moments posted to Facebook or shared on Twitter, you want to make sure you look your best for the occasion.

I start the day at my mom's house, then visit with friends and eventually end my day at a house party. So if you, need something casual chic but stylish enough to take you from day to evening, here are a few suggestions:

These Sweater Tops will keep you warm and cozy, plus roomy enough for you to get several servings of turkey and sweet potato pie. As far as accessories, I suggest keeping it simple, with arm candy and an infinity scarf.
BCBG Cowl Neck Sweater, ZARA Batwing Top & PiperLime Sweater Dress

Can you tell my favorite fall fashion item are Boots? Yes, either one of these three will look savvy with your top. They will definitely make a style statement. Comfy?? Maybe not, but you can take them off for a while if needed. You will be around family and friends, so get comfortable. Just remember to wear matching trouser socks.
Steve Madden Booties,  Charlotte Russe Slouchy Boots & Chloe High Heel Riding Boots

Then lastly your Pants should be leggings, jeans or textured tights. They will have just the right amount of stretch and spandex, so I promise no matter how much you eat, you will feel slimmer throughout the day.
Express Faux Leather Leggings, Forever 21 Skinny Jeans & Avenue Textured Tights
What are you wearing to Thanksgiving dinner?

  1. All of these are great options. I was thinking about riding pants and boots along with a comfy sweater.
